pros and cons

I got a lovely email from Biki a little while back. She talked about my situation with Tyler and asked me what was the worse thing that would happen if I asked him out. It really got me thinking. What is the worse thing? So I'm gonna weigh the pros and cons and you guys get to comment with your thoughts. Sound good?

-get a boyfriend
-have sex for the first time in 4 years
-if the bf thing doesn't work out, maybe get a good friend
-see what it feels like to have someone love me as much as I love them.

-he says no

ok well anyone else have any? Had a hard time thinking of cons. There really is only one. He says no. Really kinda helps the whole "just ask him out" argument.

  1. Reach ... life is to short to have what ifs or regrets. What if he says yes ... wishing for the best Just

  2. well... another pro is that you get over your fear of asking a guy out...

a con... you have to find another boy to obsess over :-P

Just ask him!!! I have been telling you that forever...

  3. do it or ur scared...

but seriously u dont have much to loose, put urself out there cuz u def wont regret it in the long run.
i was in a similar situation w/ a guy i knew was gay when i was a sophomore... damn i wish i wudda done something about it.

  4. Be a whore! Sleep around until you find someone.

j/k. I agree with the others. Just ask him out. It's better to try and fail than fail to try.

  5. Go for it the worst he could say is no and even if he does based on what I gathered about the guy he would be still willing to hang out with you

  6. I bet if you don't ask him out you'll regret it forever. At least if you ask him out, whatever he says, you'll have an answer and it won't be something you'll turn in bed at night about in 5 years time.

And of course, there's a possibility that by asking him, in 5 years time you'll be in bed at night with him. :P

  7. well i think the pro/con thing you've made there pretty much sums up what you have to do -- i guess the worst thing that can happen his him saying no, and if that doesn't happen there are a lot of pros there.

    go ask him k

  8. echo echo

go for it! tell us all the details of course :p

  9. I actually have to agree with Biki and whoever suggested "go for it". :) You won't really lose a lot, other than some integrity (if he said no), Dan. :) And you know we all support you regardless of the outcome.

Let's face it, we all only live once. He could meet someone who he fell head over toes for. Here is a golden opportunity for you. Brave it, or leave it and regret for the rest of your life.
