depressed

im rarely depressed. like almost never. but right now, im feeling really down. like, all my friends are either gone or busy getting ready to go. im just stuck at home, doing nothing, and counting down the days. it sucks. so earlier i was just so sick of being at home, that i jumped in my moms car and just drove. i rolled all the windows down, picked my depressing song playlist on my ipod, and drove. i went around to all the houses of my friends who had left. it was just....blah. i stopped and got some ice cream, and went down by the river and just sat there for a good while. i thought a lot. about friends, about next year, about my parents, and even about tyler. idk. this really sucks.

heres some songs i like when im depressed.

im gonna go to bed. sleep this thing off.

  1. I think being depressed happens to the best of us. The only thing I can say is ditch the depressed playlist. Surround your self with positive music, people and words. Hope that helps.

  5. Yea I do the EXACT same thing. I love just blaring the much with the windows down trying to sing along going 75 down the highway-- its a great way to get kind of sulk in your own depression.

I agree completely with your depressed list-- especially 1979. I am trying to think of what else I would add... hmm... having trouble. I definitely think some post-rock stuff (like Sigur Ros) is depressing at times but you have to like that kind of music. Coldplay and Death Cab both have plenty of depressing songs. I also think "Another Horsedreamers Blues" by Counting Crows is insanely depressing and great to blare real loud.

I hope you feel better and I can't wait until you go to college! I know I keep saying it but honestly you are describing exactly my summer before I went off to college.... crazy, I haven't remembered these feelings for years :-)

Much Love and a big *hug*

  6. Hello, i dont know if you read these comments but i wanted to tell you a few things.

First of all, about depression... try an think of the down days, the sad things and the boring, lame and uncomfortable times as the things we experience that truly make us appreciate the wonderful things, the happy days and the loves we enjoy when we arnt upset.

Secondly, I just stumbled upon this blog, from mirrorboy, for the first time seconds before i read this post. After reading some more of your posts I just wanted to say that i appreciate you sharing what your share everyday and even though I just discovered your blog i look forward to visiting you again.
